Compliance and business ethics

We conduct business with integrity, transparency and respect for applicable law and international trade rules. The standard is ordinary: know who you are dealing with, and do not pretend a cargo exists when it does not.

1. Integrity and fair dealing

We do not tolerate bribery, corruption, kickbacks, improper inducements or undisclosed conflicts of interest. Commercial engagements have to be conducted fairly, without improper influence.

2. Regulatory compliance

We work within applicable sanctions, anti-money laundering, anti-corruption, export control and trade rules, including relevant UN, OFAC, UK and EU measures.

3. Due diligence and transparency

We ask for verification of the counterparty, beneficial ownership where it matters, corporate credentials, commercial authority and whether the transaction is what it claims to be. Information should be accurate, and it stays confidential.

4. Authorised commercial engagement

We support direct contact between a qualified buyer and a seller who is actually authorised to sell. Price, allocation, contract negotiation and official approvals stay in the channels those parties designate. Our role is introduction, facilitation and coordination, unless a written authority says otherwise.

5. Confidentiality and accountability

Commercial information, records and relationships are handled with discretion. Anyone speaking for Alpine, including a third party, is expected to keep the same standard.

US sanctions

Alpine Energy Trading does not deal with parties, vessels, banks or cargoes that are restricted under United States sanctions administered by OFAC, or with any transaction that would cause a prohibited dealing. If a name, a flag or a payment route is unclear, the enquiry stops until it is clear.

Sustainable trading relationships depend on trust, verified authority, plain communication and conduct you can explain to a compliance officer.
